  Username & Password Issues

  • What is my username?
    Your user name is your Student or Employee ID number (often starts with 3000, 2000 or 107). This number is recorded on your UFV Student/Employee card.

  • What is my password?
    If this is your first time logging in, your password is the six numbers of your birthdate, in the format YYMMDD where YY is the last two digits of the year,
    MM is the numeric month, and DD is the day of your birthdate. 
    For example, 16 April, 1956 is 560416.

    Once you have successfully logged in the first time, you will receive a message explaining that your password has expired and to choose a new password. 

    Remember
    : your new password must be exactly 6 numbers long.

  • What if I have forgotten my password, or my default password does not work?
    Confirm your student identification number with your registration receipt, or your employee ID number with your pay stub.

    Click here to start the "forgot password" process.

    You will have to enter in your Student or Employee ID, then click on the "Forgot PIN?" button. Follow the prompts...

    If you are unable to reset your password using this method you may:


    Note:  In recovering your password using the “I forgot my password” link, you have only 5 attempts to supply the correct answer to your security question.
    Your answer must match exactly the answer that is on file. If you cannot answer your security question correctly in 5 attempts, your account will be disabled, and you will have to contact the Admissions and Records or ITS department to reset your password.


  • I've been locked out!
    myUFV will suspend your account if it detects too many attempts to login with the wrong password.  When this happens, you will be locked out for 30 minutes. Please contact the ITS helpdesk @ 604-864-4610 to receive help.
